I had a query from someone who was trying to run an MapInfo add-on (we'll call it Test.mbx) and was getting the following error:
Warning 812: Test.mb: 237: Unknown error encountered. It turned out that they were also running two other add-ons, Discover and Map Imagery. I was able to solve the problem by having the user turn off one of the other applications so that the Test.mbx would run. If I then tried to fire up, say Discover, the error occurred again (this time referencing the Discover application), leading me to believe that there is a limit on the number of third-party applications that you can either have running in Mapinfo or appearing on the menu bar. Does anyone know of a solution to this problem (other than reducing the number of applications available from the MapInfo menu bar? Thanks in advance, Bill
