Daryl, Try using Polyline Split on the Objects menu. Select the polyline, Set Target On Draw a polyline that cuts across the targeted polyline (you may want to use object snap to snap a node of the polyline to the exact point where you want to divide the targeted line). Select the line you just have drawn and use Polyline split.
Tim Fast GIS Specialist Pioneer Hi-Bred International -----Original Message----- From: Daryl Riggins [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Thursday, October 30, 2003 1:16 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: MI-L Breaking a Polyline I'm attempting to break a long polyline at a specific vertex. The result would be two new polylines. I have attempted the "split" command, but receive an error that I may not use a linear object. I receive this message even when closing the cutter polyline to create polygon. Suggestions? Is there an easier method for breaking a polyline? _________________________ Daryl Riggins, PE Camp Chestnut Ridge www.campchestnutridge.org This communication is for use by the intended recipient and contains information that may be privileged, confidential or copyrighted under applicable law.
