I take your point and it's something I'd realised after my original post, to
limit the selection or at least get the user to enter part of the value so
as to restrict the search (as Peter Horsbøll Møller commented).  The reason
I'd gone down my original route was that I thought it would be easier for
our users if they where presented with a list of unique values for a chosen
table/column, rather than them having to have the correct spelling etc.  

Just messing about really, I'll probably be the only one who'll end up using
the tool, if I get round to finishing it (nearly there).
