Particularly since you are in the Minerals expl. industry? you should have the add-on Discover, which can do both things and much more.
I wish I had it, but can't justify the expense since I already have Geosoft, which also does much more. I do all my actual map layout in Geosoft.
I found a solution in the win2tab utility, which worked OK.
