Davut, This problem might indeed be an error created by oracle. Sometimes, problems arise when you try to approach spatial on oracle with a client of a different version than than the server. I also had problem when trying to access a 9i database with a 8.1.7 client. I never encountered the same problem when accessing an 8i database with the same client. Unfortunatly, I can not tell you if the same problems might occurr when you try to access a 8i server with a 9 client. What might solve the problem is installing the 9i client as well (assuming you have MI Pro 7.5).If you do not have MI Pro 7.5, you can not access the 9i client directly.
