Tom

I use the tool Quick Layer Control or QLC mb found at the directions mag web
site or I can email it to you
Basically you select the layer then select the pen button on the QLC button pad
(there are only 3 buttons) this make the layer editable
Now use the layer control to find the layer that is editable
Quick and easy
Very useful for imported cad files with strange and long table names

Hope this helps

Subject: MI-L MapInfo Object Identification Question

Hello listers:

In Mapinfo I have a workspace that has about 50 layers in it. I would like
to select a map object and readily identify what layer it is on.
Is there a quick way to do this without turning off each layer to see when
the object disappears?
