Hi Listers,

I am trying to map a group of 97 points, by individual value (colour) and value
range (size). The application is mapping the cost of a healthy food basket by
median household weekly income by locality.

I have tried to implement Stuart Morrison's solution (message # 15885 in
archive) to Christine Ronning's problem, namely to do two thematic maps on the
one dataset to achieve symbols that vary by colour and size.

I have followed Stuart's instructions and have constructed an individual
thematic on my dataset prior to and below the graduated thematic, but find that
many of my points, with different variable values, are appearing coloured in as
Black. To add to the curiosity, there is no black cohort in the individual
value legend.

I have ensured that I have the size option selected instead of all attributes
in the 'apply' box in the bottom right hand corner of the ranged theme>modify
thematic map>styles dialogue (as opposed to all attributes).

I am using MI7.0 on WinXP.

In the words of an Australian political non-luminary "Please explain".
If you can see what i'm doing wrong, please let me know.

Cheers,

Alistair.
