[MI-L] Hotlinks & files

Hi, I am trying to link points in a layer to files (pictures, pdf, etc) I’ve 
followed the help directions and work fine with the URLs;  but when it comes 
to files in my computer, the link just takes me to the folder where the 
actual file is located...without opening it.

I’d appreciate any advice…..Thanks
