Hi Dave,

Before I upgarded to MI 7.8, I kept the disclaimer text in a TAB and had it
open in a mapper. I then added the mapper to the layout.

Mind you, I think the upgrade was a better idea. Version 7.8 eliminated a lot
of frustrating things (for me at least). With the lack of budget on my end, I
can only dream of 8.5.

Hi.

I am attempting to create a text box on my Layout with the usual disclaimers.
I am finding that I am limited in the number of characters that a single text
box can contain. Does anyone know how to increase the number of characters in
a text box or another way around this?

Thanks all.

MI Pro v7.8 increased the max length of text strings to 2047 characters, so it
seems you're 1 version out.

Otherwise, you just have to be careful with alignment and then you can position
multiple text strings to look as though they are one and the same. You still
have to use this approach if you want multiple fonts/styles or special symbols
in your text string.

Cheers,
Martin

G'day Dave,

Peter Doyle at Telstra wrote an mbx called Laytex which over comes this
limitation.
I can send it on to you if you wish.

Here is Peter's blurb:

How about several text boxes, one for each new paragraph?
