Hello Amanda, > I cant open some workspaces I made last night. When I came in this morning > they crashed with the error: > > "file name" Found [unsupported Character] while searching for [a string > constant] > > Can anyone solve this mystery, can I salvage the workspaces and tell me why > it happened? I have had this a couple of times and didn't quite know what to put it down to. I often edit workspace files with a text editor since it is sometimes quicker than loading up MI and the workspace, making changes and saving again. One slip of the fingers and I could of accidently put a high-bit character (ASCII>127) or null (ASCII==0) in the file which may well upset MI. Try opening the file in Notepad and see if there is any "odd" characters in there. Some text editors even automatically change null characters to spaces. It's at least worth a try before scrapping the file and starting again.
