Try including the key word "Separator" Right after the word ADD when adding
this button to the ButtonPad in your AlterButtonpad clause.

When ever objects are unselected in the map window this icon becomes
greyed out and non-selectable. Once an object is selected again the open
table icon is also once more available for use. I don't understand why
any map window toolbutton tasks have any association with this
pushbutton?
