The second patch linked from http://trac.mapnik.org/ticket/170, I've
applied to trunk with minor modifications.
This is a fantastic thing to have in the next 0.6.0 release, so I look
forward to testing further.

can be done clearer too), especially i don't know if the ogr_features
conversion from ogr (unsigned char* WKB) to mapnik (char* WKB) is
correct.
