Yes, good idea! I think we should also check inkscape and other
vector drawing apps for inspiration.

Basically, a past GSOC project for boost made some progress on SVG
support for plotting. Different usecase, but perhaps some of the code
to author SVG might be useful for inspiration for an svg_renderer. As
well, the Boost.Geometry project also already supports simple geometry-
>SVG output functions.
