Hi, I was trying to understand a bit how Mapnik xml styling works. I did not find super good Mapnik documents about the thing but it seems to have something in common with OGC Styled layer descriptor standard (http://portal.opengeospatial.org/files/?artifact_id=1188). For example the way to define colours and line widths looks very similar to me. Are these styling formats somehow interoperatible? For example, I can style my map visually with GIS programs like uDig or OpenJUMP, store the style to SLD file and use that for styling the output from WMS servers. Does Mapnik support the same? If not, are there plans to add SLD support?
