Hi, First of all congratulations on the new release. I will definitely give it a try.
This ticket was opened three years ago (http://trac.mapnik.org/ticket/13) and looks like it got pushed off the 0.7.0 release also :-(. Needless to say this unlucky fix would help me a lot:-) I just happen to have small lines which are not the case of multiple lines segements with the same street names. Is there anyway I can get a build/patch fixes this bug? I would be willing to help with the testing. Given my current expertise of Mapnik, that's all I can help in. Does this fix include some core changes that are unlikely to get fixed any time soon (in next one or two months)? Best, HB.
