Hmm, no known problems, but there may be. Mapnik uses Freetype2 behind the 
scenes so if there are windows bugs we may benefit from searching freetype 
mailing lists.

The only obvious thing is to make sure you are getting the right "face_name" 
which don't always match the font file name (though I bet you know this):
