I am looking to implement a solution using Either Visual C++ 6.0 or VC in Visual Studio 2010, could you suggest me any starting point or tutorial for that. My target application is a Navigator using Shapefiles. and for or my navigation application I would like to have a 2.5D view (something similar to http://www.cartotype.com/assets/images/promopanels/citymap.png http://www.cartotype.com/assets/images/promopanels/citymap.png ) of the map (specifically roads), can I achieve this in mapnik.
