Hi, >From my experience with the German data of OpenStreetMap, it takes about 60 - 120 Minutes to render the zoom level 1 - 15. In this case my database contained only the German subset and I was rendering 1 - 4 63 * 63 meta tiles at once, writing the resulting PNG data in large chunks into a single file. Rendering and writing single tiles takes about 2 days on the other hand. Importing the complete planet.osm instead of your country extract also slows down the rendering process considerably.
