Kai. The windows binaries do not have support for PDF/svg as it needs to be added at compile time. This is something we hope to provide in the future but Cairo and dependencies are not easy to get compiled on windows.

Dear users,

from here: http://dbsgeo.com/mapnik/Mapnik_Installer.exe

I now tried to install the
standalone installer for Mapnik, osm2pgsql, and various python tools (nik2img,tilelite,cascadenik)

Well, the rundemo.py works fine, but if I try to use the nik2img from here

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mapnik\bin

I get:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Mapnik\bin>nik2img.py C:/mapnik_0_7_1/ beispiel2/osm.xml - fsvg -b 7.992 52.307 8.014 52.317 -d 2000 2000 image.svg && rsvg - d150 -p150 ima
ge.svg C:/mapnik_0_7_1/beispiel2/osna.png
// --> Cairo backend not available, cannot write to format: svg

Has anybody a clue how/where to implement the Cairo backen?

Thank you very much in advance
