Hello,
We consider this behaviour a feature and not a bug. More exactly, we consider
that the label should have an upper case in OSM itself and the issue should be
fixed in OSM. In other words, the bug is in OSM data and not maposmatic.
However, if you think that there are some valid use case for enforcing
upper-case letter, let us know.
