Hello Gaël, I am getting back to you regarding the too small size problem we discussed at the end of the hackfest, because this problem is definitely blocker and we cannot put the new MapOSMatic in production before it is solved.
If you look at http://dev.maposmatic.org/jobs/416, you will see that the index is clearly unreadable. The PNG has a size of 1184px × 1165px and the PDF has a size of 418 × 411 mm. On the other hand, you can look at http://www.maposmatic.org/jobs/38686, which is a rendering for the exact same city, but with the old ocitysmap code. Of course, the index is not on the same side, so direct comparison wouldn't make sense, but the width of the two PNG pictures should be the same (since the index is at the bottom on the new rendering). And here the PNG size is 2906px × 2041px, while the PDF size is 1025 × 720 mm. Look for example at square C4 on both maps. On the old rendering, you can see streets such as "Rue du Paradis", "Rue de l'Adèle", "Rue de Pérignat", "Rue du Petit", while on the new rendering, none of those streets are visible (well the streets themselves are visible, but not their name). So there is clearly a problem with the rendering size choosen with the new ocitysmap2. Would you have some time to have a look at this? Thanks!
