Actually for the patch to apply to branch-0.23, we need first to pick the
patches for MAPREDUCE-778 and MAPREDUCE-3597 that were committed to trunk but
not to branch 0.23. I am attaching here updated patches for them that work with
branch-0.23. These patches are almost the same as the original trunk patches
except for minor changes to resolve a couple of conflicts on branch-0.23.
So the steps now for applying the patch are:
1) Apply MAPREDUCE-778_branch-0.23.patch -- updated MAPREDUCE-778 patch.
2) Apply MAPREDUCE-3597_branch-0.23.patch -- updated MAPREDUCE-3597 patch.
3) Apply MAPREDUCE-3582-prepatch-0.23.patch -- ports the TestWordStats.java
file missing from 0.23.
4) Run the mv script: mv_script_MR-3582_rev8_fixed.sh -- Moves MR1 files under
the MR2 mvn tree.
5) Finally apply MAPREDUCE-3582-part2_rev8-0.23.patch -- Needed post-move
changes for build and tests to run successfully.
