Daryn Sharp commented on MAPREDUCE-3698: ---------------------------------------- Would it be possible to put a delay in when a connection to the AM/HS fails? Both this issue and the earlier one involving connection failures to the AM resulted in the client going into a tight loop retrying the connection. Based on the logs, I measured ~1000 connects/sec until the job completed. > Client cannot talk to the history server in secure mode > ------------------------------------------------------- > > Key: MAPREDUCE-3698 > URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MAPREDUCE-3698 > Project: Hadoop Map/Reduce > Issue Type: Sub-task > Components: mrv2 > Affects Versions: 0.23.1 > Reporter: Siddharth Seth > Assignee: Mahadev konar > Priority: Blocker > Fix For: 0.23.1 > > Attachments: MAPREDUCE-3698.patch, MAPREDUCE-3698.patch, > MAPREDUCE-3698.patch > > > {noformat} > 12/01/19 02:56:22 ERROR security.UserGroupInformation: > PriviledgedActionException as:XXX@XXX(auth:KERBEROS) > cause:java.io.IOException: Failed to specify server's Kerberos principal name > 12/01/19 02:56:22 WARN security.UserGroupInformation: Not attempting to > re-login since the last re-login was attempted less than 600 seconds before. > {noformat} -- This message is automatically generated by JIRA.
