I ran a distributed cache job and killed all map attempts and it worked. Kill 3
and let the 4th one go and the job passed, and then did the same exercise for
reduce tasks and it worked.
The command i ran to run the job is

hadoop jar hadoop-streaming.jar -input /tmp/input -file /tmp/arpit/mapper.sh
-mapper 'mapper.sh' -file /tmp/arpit/reducer.sh -reducer 'reducer.sh' -output
/tmp/output1

and the shell scripts had sleep commands in them so i had enough time to kill
the attempts.
