I have found that the functions LayerObj.whichShapes() and LayerObj.queryByAttributes ignore any CLASS expression or maxscaledenom in the LAYER. The results returned by these functions seem to come from "any" feature in the layer's dataset at the given spatial extent and/or attribute query. Anyone else ever come across this?
