[UMN_MAPSERVER-USERS] PHP Mapscript and PHP 5.1.2

Hello everybody,

I compiled Mapscript with PHP 5.1.2 and the compilation worked fine (the 
system was Ubuntu 5.10 with GCC 4, and PHP compiled as Apache 1.3 
module). When I try to load the php_mapscript.so module, however, I get 
the error

/usr/sbin/apache: symbol lookup error: 
/usr/local/lib/php/extensions/php_mapscript.so: undefined symbol: 
php_sprintf

This happens for both Mapserver 4.6.2 and 4.8rc2. Everything works fine 
if I use PHP 5.0.5 instead. Did anybody ran into the same problem?
