have you got a nice map image with the ANTIALIAS TRUE ?
 
if so , can you give me a clue how to do that?

To chime in:
But what if I want to have antialiasing *and* semi-transparency? How
would I define e.g. a opacity of 60 when I already have 'transparency
alpha' in my layer?
