You can change geographic file labels in the following way:
1. Open a geographic file (CDF or DBD file)
2. Click Map:Layers on the menu or the Map layers button
3. Select the layer you want to change
4. Click the Rename button
5. Change the label when the dialog box appears
6. If you want to change the label permanently (i.e. have the same label
appear for the file regardless of which *.map file the layer is in), check
the "click permanently" switch.
That's all there is to it.
