I just realized we forgot one thing, The time and location recorded on the
film may not be EXACTLY when the click took place. It may reflect the last
reading that was processed from the satellite.
The census dept. experimented with GPS to get more accurate TIGER files by
driving down the road and clicking when they got in the middle of an
intersection. The resulting point that was registered was a number of feet
off because of the time delay.
I sat in a conference meeting with some space imaging smart guys and recall
them saying the direction the shutter and film moves makes a difference.
