Maptitude - http://research.umbc.edu/~roswell/maptitude.html
The attached utilities 1.02 file is an open source GISDK program you can
compile and use as an addin in Maptitude. You must own a copy of the GISDK
to compile it. See the beginning of the attached file for instructions.
Version 1.02 provides the following utility buttons:
Redraw button -- redraws the current map
Kill PBars button-- destroys left over progress bars
Adj Areas button -- creates .bin file of areas adjacent to set of areas
Length/Azimuth tool - adds annotation to the map giving the length and
azimuth of the side of an area you click on
The new Length/Azimuth tool was written by Larry and Diana Teeters and
contributed by Carl Chance.
The Adj Areas button has a new macro by Armando Scalise for computing the
length of shared edges of areas. It is very clever, elegantly simple and
more direct (and probably more accurate) than my previous method for doing
this. This goes to prove the advantage of the open source approach. Thanx
to Armando.
I have queried Caliper about Richard Hoskins' suggestion which was:
>2. It would be nice to be able to set the default directory in Mapt. Not
>clear they are going to do that in 4.5. One always starts in the Mapt
>directory and so on. A pain.
It is definitely a pain but Caliper says at this time there is no way to
control it from the DK. Sorry, Richard.
Let me know if you have any problems with utilities 1.02.
