Actually I think it is quite essential for martketing purposes;  leaving out node adjacencies could leave out important areas that are left out because of an arbitrary way the region is divided up, say, into census tracts. Having a choice would be useful.
 
Also it might be useful to make the statistical computation of the adjacent areas include a weighted average. If one knows the average expenditure on cars in the adjavent areas then an average of the average would need to be weighted by some population figure, such as the number of  cars sold or number of car buyers.
 
The Martketing tool box is a very nice addition to Maptitude.

Currently, the "Adjacency Tables" option in the Adjacency tool only gives
results for edge adjacencies.  An "edge and node" option is a good suggestion.
