I have a list of incumbents across the country and I want to split them up
based on the state they are in and create a separate cdf layer for each state,
and I was wondering what shortcut I might be able to utilize, rather than
creating 50 separate splits for each state.
I tried using the selection tool, and then using the export layer utility, but
when I do that, it appears to have missed some people within a given state. I
added a separate field and made sure every record in the incumbent layer was
tagged with "State" and I still have not figured out an easy way to accomplish
what I am trying to do.
Seems like it should be a simple piece of automation, but I have not been able
to glean any info from the Maptitude documentation on this subject.
