Hi Daniel, This page http://kb.askmonty.org/en/enhancements-for-start-transaction-with-consistent-snapshot
documents a MariaDB 5.3 feature and mentions that "mysqldump has been extended". however, this page http://kb.askmonty.org/en/mysqldump doesn't mention 5.3 at all. I think, the changes introduced to 5.3 should be made apparent in the manual(and the first page ideally should link to the change description on the second) I have not throughly checked but on first glance diff'ing mysqldump output betwen 5.3 and 5.2 gives a clue about the change.
