Dear Fellow Maristians,

Marist School will be having a  General  Homecoming celebration on
Sept. 6, Saturday, starting with a Holy Mass at 4:00 pm.  Venue will
be the Marist High School covered court.  It will be sponsored by our
batch, the Silver Jubilarian Batch 1983, and we call this
event "MARIST KA RIN, BRO? IBA TAYO!"

Our theme will focus on promoting interaction not only with our own
batchmates but also with Maristians from other batches.  In these
days of the Internet, many of us have had the chance to meet up and
correspond with our batchmates numerous times, and now, we feel that
it is time to meet the rest of the Marist alumni community.

A special activity during this affair will be the Social Hour which
will precede the program proper.   For the first time in our
homecoming history, the alumni will have an arranged opportunity to
establish social and business connections with those from other
batches.  Special interest and industry groups (e.g. Marist golf
club, association of Marist health professionals, etc.) will be
formed to encourage communications and relationships beyond our
batches.  Identification by trade, industry, or interest will be a
valuable human resource tool when our alma mater or a fellow
Maristian needs support from the Alumni body.  Furthermore,
networking across batches may also help promote special interests
(like charity work, sports, etc.), establish business opportunities,
and hopefully, generate employment.

For this segment, we ask you to come early and to bring your business
cards, leaflets, brochures, or any paraphernalia you may want to
leave with your new contacts.  We encourage you participate actively
in this effort;  and for those who may feel some inhibition about
this, come out of your comfort zone and think of this as reaching out
to a long lost brother.

The Homecoming  will be capped by a program to be hosted by
television personality and 80's icon Jojo Alejar  of Batch '83.  This
will be taped as a special episode of his show "The Good Night Show
with Jojo A." broadcasted over Channel QTV.

We know that this letter will not reach all alumni, so we request you
to spread this invitation to your batchmates.

Thank you and we hope to see you all!
Eric Tabafunda `83
