Batchmates!
As you
know, I am currently a singing member of the A Cappella Manila (ACM), one of
the Philippines’ top choirs. As such, I
am very proud to let you know that we are embarking on our 4th European Goodwill
Tour. With this tour we aim to promote peace and good will through
music.
Allow me to
introduce the A Cappella Manila to
you further. The ACM was organized by our choirmaster and artistic director,
Professor Rodel Bugarin in 1995. Since then the group has concertized
extensively
from Northern Luzon to Mindanao. As a member
of the Madz et al family, a confederation of choirs trained by current and past
members of the Philippine Madrigal Singers, the ACM has participated in major
choral events in the country. Abroad, it has enthralled overseas Filipinos as
well as international audiences
in Bangkok and Pattaya (Thailand); to
Seoul ( South Korea); to Rome, Vatican City, Venice, Vienna , Salzburg,
Brussels, Zurich, Paris, Lourdes, Madrid, Frankfurt, Dusseldorf,
Essen, and Bonn (Europe) and to Los Angeles and San Francisco (USA).
Now, on a
very personal note, allow me to make an appeal for assistance for this
project. I would like to invite you to
be part of this worthwhile endeavour through your financial donation for me.
You see I have to do my share in raising the financial requirements for this
trip to defray the expenses that will be incurred like airfare, visa
application fees, Eurail pass and more.
Your
generous donation of Php 1000.00 only (one
thousand pesos) will certainly be a great help to me. Moreover, your
donation goes beyond your personal help for me. In the bigger picture, it is
your support for our country because this effort will promote greater
nationalism among our overseas kababayans as we will be performing mostly
Philippine music. With this you also be helping us show the world the inherent
beauty of Filipino culture and arts.
