Using [Wordpress][1] as a CMS with the [Markdown on Save][2] plugin is a pretty powerful combination. I like that this particular Wordpress plugin stores both the Markdown and HTML versions of posts so you aren't stuck if you need to use the post content in another system or if you just move away from Wordpress.
