I think the gnome.org (external) and the live.gnome.org (internal) websites serve different audiences.
I think it would make most sense for the people listed on http://www.gnome.org/press/ to join the mailing list h<http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-press-team> ttp://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-press-team<http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-press-team>, unless you have another mailing list where you are coordinating plans and messages.
