Personally I'd prefer it without the text at all... you wouldn't normally see 
"GNOME" written anywhere inside the logo because it's in breach of the logo 
guidelines, and it just makes the whole thing look too 'busy' IMHO.

(Also, shouldn't the text around the edge say "Friends of GNOME", rather than 
"Friends of Gnome"?)
