Awesome design ! You rock \m/

One suggestion though... May be you could remove/hide few of those options in
the background image like "None - edit" .

Pranav

Hello all,

After taking in all the suggestions, I've updated the mockup and the new design
can be seen at the link below:

https://cwiki.apache.org/confluence/display/CLOUDSTACK/Apache+website+redesign+proposal

The following changes have been made:

-Decreased main header image for lower resolution screens -Removed the news
section and replaced it with "Getting Started" and added a download link
-Removed the community section which freed up more space for addition content.
So I added a 4th "blog" section

Please review and let me know if there is specific sections/content you would
like to see changed. I'm hoping the next set of responses should be the final
round for the homepage and then I can move forward with an example of an
internal page and we can talk development.

Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns.

Thanks You and Best Regards,

So I don't know if this is appropriate or not, but tossing it out there anyway.
I like the overall design a lot.
However the sections as they are currently showing are completely contributor
focused. There's no 'download' or 'getting started' or anything that would
target a new user or potential new user, a group that will easily be 98% of the
folks showing up at our website.
