We have been using this slogan for v.4.0: "LibreOffice 4: The free
office suite the community has been dreaming of for twelve years." It is
on our LibreOffice.org landing page. It is on the first slide.

We have also used the slogan that you can see on our Awards page[2]
"Fantastic People. Fun Project. Free Office Suite."
And the documentation team uses a small variation for documentation 4.0:

"Fantastic Community. Fun Project, Free Office Suite."

I might have missed something but what don't we just use the official
slogan of the 4.0 release? I don't get why it has to take days to solve
the question.

Thanks,

We are not "solving" anything, but suggesting ideas that have been used before. The "12 years" and "Fantastic Community" slogans may be used in different venues. There is a big difference between People and Community. Each has a different "feel" to me. I prefer Community over People.

Yes, we need to figure out what would be best to use for more than just the 4.0 portal front page. For the use in a new LibreOffice brochure I am working on with Marc, either one could be used. If the "term" is not what you want to use, change it. The only reason I am working on a new brochure is the fact that the one I have is from May 2011. We have some more ideas and abilities, plus new design styles to work with.
