Actually, there are many areas of improvement for LibreOffice marketing, and the backoffice is definitely one of them. We miss many of the traditional numbers/statistics, as - for instance - we do not have a real number for users, as we rely on downloads (not a real measurement). Maybe, we can have a chat via skype/hangout after Wednesday (as we are releasing LibreOffice 5.1, and I am fully booked for pre-briefings with journalists). I have coordinated LibreOffice marketing so far, and I have also managed most of the marketing activities (apart from social media and some online activities). Of course, someone with a marketing background is always welcome, although marketing of free software needs a cultural shift from traditional marketing (I have gone through this shift myself around 2004, when I entered the OpenOffice project with my traditional marketing background). -- Italo Vignoli - LibreOffice Marketing & PR mobile +39.348.5653829 - email / jabber it...@libreoffice.org hangout / jabber italo.vign...@gmail.com - skype italovignoli GPG Key ID - 0xAAB8D5C0 DB75 1534 3FD0 EA5F 56B5 FDA6 DE82 934C AAB8 D5C0 -- To unsubscribe e-mail to: marketing+unsubscr...@global.libreoffice.org Problems? http://www.libreoffice.org/get-help/mailing-lists/how-to-unsubscribe/ Posting guidelines + more: http://wiki.documentfoundation.org/Netiquette List archive: http://listarchives.libreoffice.org/global/marketing/ All messages sent to this list will be publicly archived and cannot be deleted
