For future reference, it's safe only to use source images with a
proper license that allows reuse (both modification and commercial
reuse).  Examples of such licenses include Creative Commons licenses:

CC-0
CC-BY
CC-BY-SA

This isn't an exhaustive list.  I usually find images on e.g. Flickr
by using search options that allow modification and commercial reuse.
