I was actually thinking this sentence should be deleted, but think it
might be important for background knowledge to new users. Do you think
it's worth mentioning for context? Does this sentence sound better:
The major version of Leap 42 was supported more than 36 months. The
current major version of Leap 15 goes well beyond 36 months of security
and maintenance support as stated above.
