Greetings Dave!

Video is exactly the kind of help that's needed

here are some (by no means definitive) answers to your questions:

    * How long should it be?
Short is good, YouTube snippets which show one thing and show it well
are best. Ideally we could build up a bunch of short videoa so someone
interested in an Activity in particular cold quickly find a vid about
it.

    * Who is the audience?
Teachers and parents, although we are trying to target technically
adept teachers who will be able to overcome minor glitches when trying
Sugar.

    * Should I be worried about © violations when selecting music or
do you have a generic company track you want used?
I'm afraid so, using music under one of the rights societies is a
no-no, although that may not be a problem since music is not central
to our explanations (speaking as a musician :-). We're not at the
stage of needing ambient b-roll music tracks yet :-)

    * Can you supply me with any video of Sugar being used or anything
else you want included? (important)
There's not a lot yet, although I am trying to install and configure a
screencast solution ideally our films could cut from live action to
screencast and back

    * What do you want hi-lighted in the video?
There are some brand messages we need in there, I'll advise in a
separate mail as it's an important subject

    * Would you like me to record voice overs for the video (I will
get a friend to do it)?
Yes, that would be great, particularly if we could work from scripts
so multiple language versions could be created

    * Anything else you want in the video?
It would be cool if we could start or end each one with a card with
logo copyright and an URL

    * Do you have a deadline in mind?
I wouldn't worry about that we've just done a successful media launch
we'll be doing lots of building over the next couple of months best
not to rush

Have you seen our new Dailymotion channel? We chose them because they
are free-format friendly, which YouTube sadly isn't. Those few videos
are all we have for now :-)

many thanks and welcome

Sean
