This is a contract position with the possibility of full time employment, starting September 2009.
We are a small software company located in San Jose California. We are privately held, profitable, and have been in business for nearly 25 years. Most of our developers have at least 20 years experience. We are developing applications that target the Mac and Windows platforms, with Linux anticipated in the future. We use the Boost libraries to achieve most cross-platform functionality, and we have adopted Qt as our vehicle for developing cross platform GUI applications. We and our customers want our applications to look and feel native on each platform, including use of all the latest Cocoa and Visual Studio UI goodies. (Think of those cool little help buttons that are used on Mac control panels.) We have some interesting technology to work with and a lot of infrastructure already in place. We have several applications that we want you to develop. You should be a smart, creative, and experienced Qt developer who has used Qt to build beautiful and highly functional cross-platform (specifically Mac and Windows) applications. You should be one of the best software engineers that you know, while also not being difficult. You need to know why we mentioned the little help button in the paragraph above and what problems it represents in a Qt app. You must be able to produce quality work on tight deadlines with minimal supervision. You will work with our developers to define interfaces and functional requirements, so you must have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Our development method uses Xcode and Visual Studio, even for Qt-based apps, so it would be good if you had experience with at least one of those environments. We would prefer that you be local, but that's not a hard requirement. We would like you to provide samples of your Qt work, if possible. If this sounds interesting to you and you think you fit the requirements, then please submit a resume and contact information to [email protected]. Do NOT reply to the list, because we're filtering those emails and won't see them. _______________________________________________ Marketplace mailing list [email protected] http://lists.trolltech.com/mailman/listinfo/marketplace
