CSIRO is the Australian Government's primary scientific research organisation. Within the Mathematical and Information Sciences division, the Computational Modelling group develops software ranging from fluid simulation engines and large scale C++ workflow frameworks through to 3D visualisation of huge data sets.
The group is seeking to fill two software engineering positions based in Melbourne. The two roles are quite distinct, one being applications focussed and the other much more along the lines of capability development with a strong networking and concurrent execution flavour. Both are intensively C++/Qt roles requiring Linux and Windows development. Full details of the positions can be found at the following: https://recruitment.csiro.au/asp/Job_Details.asp?RefNo=2009%2F740 https://recruitment.csiro.au/asp/Job_Details.asp?RefNo=2009%2F760 The successful applicants will be exposed to some of CSIRO largest and most cutting edge supercomputing facilities, enjoy flexible working hours and be entitled to up to 15.4% superannuation. -- Dr Craig Scott Computational Modelling, CSIRO (CMIS) Melbourne, Australia
