Our research center is involved in North Pacific marine mammal and
seabird research, and our Institutional Biosafety Committee is
developing guidelines for researchers interacting with live animals and
handling tissues from necropsies. (Our sources for the guidelines
include Hunt et al, 2008, Dis. Aquatic Organ 81:81; regional marine
mammal veterinarians; Northwest Marine Mammal Stranding Network;
Washington State Department of Health.) We would like to have our
guidelines reviewed by an Occupational Health Physician (OHP) who is
familiar with zoonotic diseases associated with marine mammals and seabirds.

If you are (or know of) an OHP in the U.S. with this expertise, could
you please send me contact me. In advance, thank you.
