Bachara, W. (2022) A review of world stranding records of a Deraniyagala’s beaked whale (Mesoplodon hotaula). Unpublished report to Cetal Fauna. Report WB2022/1 Abstract: Deraniyagala's beaked whale is one of the rarest members of the family Ziphiidae and is known only from some strandings in the tropical Indian and Pacific Oceans. In this report a review of strandings in the Philippines is presented and additional, new world stranding records are added, including one from Sulawesi, Indonesia.
