NAMMCO is recruiting two highly motivated, outcome-focused Deputy Secretaries 
to support its work on studying and conserving marine mammals in the North 
Atlantic.

Do you want to help turn research into management policies, where both 
biodiversity and cultural diversity coexist? Or are you a science communicator 
concerned with the challenges of the changing Arctic? Would you like to apply 
your knowledge and skills for reconciliating conservation and use? Then the

Basic salary:                                                               
Between NOK 750k and 830k/year
You: Minimum master level, PhD preferred / Background in natural sciences and 
marine wildlife management and/or science communication and dissemination / An 
understanding of the marine environment from an ecosystem perspective / At 
least five years relevant professional experience / Excellent level of spoken 
and written English / Motivated to live in the Arctic / Team player and a good 
sense of humour.
NAMMCO: Intergovernmental Organisation / Provides Parties with management 
advice on sustainable and responsible use of marine mammals / Contributes to a 
sustainable North and fulfilling UN SDGs / Reconciliate hunting and use / 
Conserves biodiversity and livelihoods / Has a holistic approach to 
conservation.
