Hi, avadh:

I have solved the problems.

In the script of create_checkpoints.py, I found this line:
export
LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/root/parsec-2.1/pkgs/libs/hooks/inst/amd64-linux.gcc-hooks/lib
When I enter into the disk image, I could not find this directory, but only
amd64-linux.gcc-hooks.roi/lib
I replace the path directory and recreate the checkpoints.
Then the simulator can work:)

Thanks & Regards

Shuai

Hi, all:

This is my first time to use Marss simulator. But I cannot run the
parsecROI benchmarks.

I download the parsecROI benchmarks and convert it to qcow2 type as
instructions on website.
Then I create the checkpoints using qemu-img command and results show
that checkpoints have been created successfully.

Did you created them using 'qemu-img' ? Or you used script to create those
checkpoints? Normally we use script to create checkpoint and then use
'qemu-img' to confirm that all checkpoints are listed or not.

           When I start the simulator: qemu/qemu-system-x86-64 parsecROI.qcow2
and switch to monitor screen (ALT+CTL+2)
           (Qemu) loadvm blackscholes
After I input the command above, the qemu program stalls and window
freezes.
The simulator seems not to load the checkpoint correctly.

This is interesting. Can you check if you can load those checkpoints with
standard Qemu 0.14 version or not. If standard Qemu can't load them then
something is wrong with the checkpoints. You might have to recreate them.

I also run the simulator using configuration file just as
ISCA2012-tutorial says: qemu/qemu-systme-x86-64 -c uti.cfg parsecROI
I can find the log files, but the results shows that the benchmarks
do not run at all.

I have struggled for the problems for long time, but could not
figure out what's wrong with my operations?
          Thanks for any suggestions.

       Shuai
